FAQ and further questions
Who will book and pay for my flight?
Participants are responsible for making their own bookings and payments. IMPAC3T-IP has a limited number of travel and subsistence grants to help some participates to join this meeting. You must indicate on the application form whether or not you are applying for support. Applicants who successfully apply for financial support will be notified in advance and should not make any travel arrangements until they have received confirmation.
Will I get my travel and subsistence costs up-front or will they be reimbursed after the training?
Reimbursement of costs will only be granted after the training has been completed.
How much will I get to cover my travel and subsistence? Will this be a lump sum? Will I have to prove the expenses to get my 'travel grant'? What documents do I need to save and submit?
Reimbursement will be in the form of a lump sum. This will be a maximum lump sum amount based on your method of travel , the distance and the location of the workshop. Please note, that this amount may be less than your total expenses. The amount of the travel and subsistence will be made clear if you are offered a place to attend.
I need a Visa to travel. Will the project pay for this?
No, visa costs are not reimbursed. All eligible expenses are included in the travel and subsistence grant, which covers travel and accommodation within the defined budget.
Will I get a certificate?
After successfully completing the training course, participants will receive a certificate.
Can my spouse pay for themselves and come with me?
Yes, but travel expenses will only be reimbursed for workshop participants themselves.
Can I get an official invitation letter to show to my supervisor/manager so I can take the time off?
All participants who have been selected to participate will be notified by email. This invitation can be used for this purpose.
